In everything I do, my goal is to change the world one child at a time. Whether I’m helping an adult heal from the past or helping a family strengthen their connection today, growth focused intensives create the time and space for meaningful transformation that can impact generations.
Sometimes healing needs more than one hour a week.
That’s where a Growth Focused Intensive session can help.
.
Life doesn't always pause while we wait for the next therapy appointment. Whether you're feeling stuck in your own healing, preparing for a major life transition, or wanting to create meaningful change within your family, intensive therapy offers the opportunity to make significant progress in a shorter period of time.
Unlike traditional weekly therapy, intensives provide extended, focused sessions that allow us to move beyond simply managing symptoms and into deeper healing. By dedicating uninterrupted time to your goals, we can build momentum, process experiences more thoroughly, and create lasting change without the stop-and-start nature of weekly sessions.
Intensives are personalized to your unique needs and may range from a half-day session to multiple days, depending on your goals and the type of intensive that's right for you.
Types of Intensives Offered
EMDR Intensives - for when you're ready to heal what still feels stuck.
Sometimes we understand why we react the way we do, but insight alone isn't enough to create lasting change. Past experiences can remain stored in the nervous system, influencing our emotions, relationships, parenting, and daily life long after the event has passed.
EMDR Intensives provide dedicated time to process those experiences without the interruption of weekly sessions. Rather than spending months building toward deeper work, we can often move into meaningful processing much sooner, allowing you to experience relief, increased regulation, and greater freedom to respond to life differently.
EMDR Intensives may be a good fit if you:
Feel "stuck" despite previous therapy
Have experienced trauma or distressing life events
Notice recurring emotional triggers or patterns
Want to prepare for a major life transition
Are looking for an alternative to traditional weekly therapy
Each intensive is individually designed based on your history, goals, and readiness for treatment.
Children thrive in relationships. When families become caught in cycles of stress, conflict, or disconnection, everyone can begin to feel frustrated and alone.
Family Intensives combine attachment-based principles with Theraplay® techniques to strengthen connection, improve regulation, and rebuild trust within the parent-child relationship. Through guided activities, coaching, and therapeutic play, families have the opportunity to practice new ways of connecting in real time.
Rather than spreading this work over months of weekly sessions, an intensive allows families to step away from daily distractions and focus fully on strengthening their relationships.
Theraplay & Family Intensives - Helping families reconnect through play, attachment, and intentional time together.
Theraplay & Family Intensives may be beneficial for families experiencing:
Parent-child conflict
Attachment concerns
Emotional or behavioral challenges
Difficult transitions
Foster, adoptive, or kinship family needs
A desire to strengthen connection before challenges become crises
The goal isn't perfection—it's creating a stronger foundation where both parents and children feel safe, connected, and understood.
Is a Growth Focused Intensive right for you?
An intensive may be a good fit if you:
✓ You're motivated for meaningful change.
✓ Weekly therapy feels too slow for your current needs.
✓ You have a busy schedule and prefer concentrated treatment.
✓ You're traveling from outside the area.
✓ You've done therapy before but still feel stuck.
✓ You're looking for focused support during a season of transition or growth.
If you're unsure whether an intensive or traditional therapy is the best fit, I'd be happy to talk through your goals during a consultation and help you determine the approach that best meets your needs.
What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and is a way for people to sit with an intense emotion or in an intense memory without feeling flooded by that intensity. EMDR can be used for multiple different symptoms and diagnoses and can help speed up the recovery process to those symptoms.
